Edward and William have both completed their “National Certificate in Recreation and Sport – Aquatics (swim education). They have also trained as Aqua Fitness Instructors through AustSwim. It is hoped that Everyday OT will be able to run Aqua classes within the next 6 months. Please register your interest if you are interested in a class like this for your child (over 8 years) or for yourself and your younger child.

Where: Takapuna Clinic
When: Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th October
Time: 9.00 to 3.00
Cost: $150.00 per day
Ratio: 2 adults per session – maximum 6 children
Theme: “Spring – the season and Springs – the object!”
Ages: 7 years to 15 years
Where: Bayswater Primary School
When: Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October
Time: 9.00 to 3.00
Cost: $130.00 per day
Ratio: 3 Adults (min) – 10 to 20 children
Theme: Nature Play, creative exploration, social communication

TERM 4 – Programs
Everyday SkateBookings are being taken now for this excellent program. A study undertaken in a local school in 2016 with 11 children indicated that 10 of the children who participated improved in their focus and attitude towards learning. Their reading and writing levels improved as did their ability to coordinate their bodies.
Every term our Wednesday afternoon participates demonstrate this improvement in their own lives. Don’t miss joining us this term.

When: Wednesday afternoons for 8 weeks
START: Monday 18th October – finish – 6th December
Time: 3.45 to 5.00
Cost: $360 ($45 a session)

Last Adventure camp for the year! Let’s make it the best one yet.
These camps are more than just preparing for EOTC days and school camp. They foster team work, social communication skills, resilience and perseverance, problem solving and also offer opportunities to step up and become role models and leaders.
We have been running a fabulous program this year for 6 teens/ pre teens. We have run 10 sessions over 12 months to support the kids in managing high school, group work, and the school load.
Dates for the rest of the year:

Saturday 21st October – 9.00 to 12.00
Saturday 11th November – Next Steps is helping to facilitate groups at Adventure Camp – 8.30 to 4.00
Saturday 2nd September – Next Steps individual sessions.
IF your child is 12 years and over, you can book in for 2018 NOW. Current families can repeat the program if they wish and subject matter will be different.
